Team named as finalist in Waikato Sports Awards
Cambridge FC have been named finalists for the Waikato’s Best Sports Team.Our club’s men’s first team have reached the shortlist of contenders for the province’s Team of the Year after their multi-title successes of last season.
The team won the Loaded WaiBOP Premiership, the WaiBOP Federation Shield and won promotion to the 2018 Northern League.
The side also took the title of Waipa’s Sports Team of the Year, an achievement which led to its nomination for the Sport Waikato Awards.
The winners will be named at a sports dinner at the Claudelands Events Centre, Hamilton, on Thursday February 1.
Tickets are $95 per person and cover a full dinner, complimentary drinks and a night of entertainment.

Surf Lifesaving: Whangamata U-23 men’s surf rowing, Thames/Coromandel
Volleyball: Waikato senior women’s volleyball team
Wheelchair rugby: DG Sport Waikato Stampede, Parafed Waikato
