Busy weekend ahead for club's senior and youth teams

Cambridge faces another hectic weekend with seven senior and youth games at John Kerkhof Park over the two days.

Last weekend saw a bumper crop of games with four on Saturday and as many on Sunday, pushing our facilities almost to the limit.

But this Saturday, supporters get the chance to see all four of Cambridge’s top men’s teams in action at home.

In the main game at 2.45pm, the first team take on newly-promoted West Hamilton United in the WaiBOP Premiership.

They will be looking to build on their excellent performance in the ISPS Chatham Cup in which they gave a huge fright to top Auckland side Western Springs, before bowing out 4-2.

In the WaiBOP Championship, Cambridge will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the season when they host Te Puke United at 12.30pm.

The Cambridge A team plays West Hamilton United while the in-form Cambridge B side plays Claudelands Rovers. Both games kick off at 2.45pm.

The D1 and D2 teams both have byes.

On Sunday, the women’s first team hosts Ngaruawahia United in the first round of the Waikato Women’s Cup, a competition the club has won and been runners-up twice during the past five season.

The game kicks off at 11am.

The U-14 Whites travel to Tauranga City Utd for an 11am game in the WaiBOP Federation League while our U-14 Reds head to Papamoa for a noon kick off.

The U-12 boys are at home to Papamoa at 10am.

Last but not least, the Red Devils play PSL at John Kerkhof Park in the Waikato Sunday League, kicking off at 1pm.
