A Team takes Cambridge Summer League title

The Cambridge Summer League is over for another year after finals night at John Kerkhof Park.

After a night of sudden death games, the winners of both divisions were found.

The A Team beat Better Than Us 1-0 in extra time to take the overall CSL title.

As part of reaching the final, both teams have been invited to play Te Awamutu’s two best 5-a-side teams in a Waipa Challenge night at Anchor Park on Wednesday February 15.

Beaten semi-finalists were TA-B and The C Team.

In Group B, Punishers took the final from The B Team.

They had won their respective semi-finals against Epsom Male Voice Choir and Third Time Lucky.

EMVC won the play-off for third spot 5-0.

Congratulations to all teams who participated in this summer’s league.

Our club would also like to thanks Ben Feaver and Fern Feaver for helping keep the league’s tight schedule on track, with 36 teams and nine pitches on the go.

And thank you to our club sponsor, Onyx Café Bar & Restaurant, for your continued support.
